Pronounced “Dow Yin Tow” (as in Town)
This is a fusion of Eastern and Western massage with acupressure techniques, working with Yin and Yang to rebalance and restore energy flow. A deeply soothing and relaxing massage to the head, scalp and shoulders which connects energy throughout the whole body, by channeling energy through our meridians.
Originally created by the wondeful healing practioner and nurse “Anna-Louise Haigh”. After spending many of her nursing years working in a hospital in Beijing, she witnessed the fusion of modern medicine and healing ancient Chinese medicine. She created this healing treatment as a fusion of Eastern and Western techniques to restore balance within the body by releasing trapped, stagnant energy as well as calming excessive energy.
Daoyin Tao can be translated as the “Soft Way”.
Daoyin means the guiding of qi (energy) within the body. The ancient Chinese have recordings of Daoyin dating back to 2000 BC.
Tao means to live with “the way” of the universe, of life, of being, of nature and the cycle of the seasons around the year and all that nature provides and shows us. It represents “going with the flow”
This is a hypnotic and very meditative feeling treatment that has many health beneifts. It can be used to ease and benefit many ailments or health concerns. This treatment with leave you feeling light like you are floating.
